Comcast Remote Design Flaw Workaround:
Never Accidentally Lose Your Live Program While Attempting to Unpause Again!"
The Stupid-Easy Problem:

It's really easy to accidentally press "On Demand" on your Comcast Remote when you're going for the "Play" button. For some reason (it's where you go to pay extra for "premium" content) they make the button three times normal size, taller than all the others and more rigid.

Let's say it's 9:00, but we're actually watching whatever was playing at 8:20. And maybe we pause to go to the bathroom or something. When we come back, you pick up the remote and go for the "Play" button. But accidentally you hit that huge ass "On Demand" button.

Whoops. You've just lost 40 minutes of programming (that saved buffer space is gone).

The Stupid-Easy Solution:
  1. Get some cardstock or paper (I used medium weight card stock from some junk mail)
  2. Get some scissors and tape (I used scotch tape).
  3. Get a small Phillips screwdriver (Shaped like +)
  1. Remove batteries
  2. Remove the one screw you see
  3. Use scissors to pop the clips holding it together (look at my photos)
  4. Wad up some paper under the outer two of the THREE contact sets on the membrane side, not the PCB side
  5. Roll the paper by folding and creasing and wrap it once in tape to keep it that way (I rolled mine five times on each side, which is perfect for me but a little hard for my wife)
  6. Glue them onto the pads in a way that will raise the outer two contact pads off their contacts
  7. Reassemble and wait about 30min to dry
